Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington (Greek American) is a Greek American writer, syndicated-columnist and businesswoman. She founded The Huffington Post, is the chief executive officer and co-founder of Thrive Global as well an writer of 15 novels. Arianna Huffington is an author TV personality, philanthropist, and TV host as well as the founder and publisher of The Huffington Post. She was born in Greece and moved to England at age 16. When she attended Cambridge University, she graduated with a MA of Economics. The first non-English student to graduate, she was elected President of The Cambridge Union' at age 21. Being a conservative syndicated blog, after graduating she was able to be a voice of the Huffington Post. The fame of Arianna has helped attract a number of famous contributors. Arianna gained notoriety in 2003, when she ran as an independent in the California recall elections to replace Governor Davis. Also, she was the head of a Detroit energy-efficient vehicle project. Forbes declared her to be one of the "most powerful women" in media, placing her at 12th. Guardian placed her on their list of 100 most important media figures in 2009. AOL Inc. bought The Huffington Post, and she was named the president of this group. This included many AOL properties at the time such as Engadget AOL style list and Patch Media. Elli was the son of Konstantinos who was a Journalism and management expert. While she enjoyed a strong connection to both her father and mother, it was their bond that shaped her. Even in her formative age, she displayed the leadership abilities and is a household name. When she was in her 16th year she moved to Britain for a degree and attended Girton College Cambridge. She enrolled in Cambridge Union, the Cambridge Union college debate society during her time at college in which she became the third female to hold the position of the president. She graduated in 1972 with the degree of Master in Economics. After after graduation she was a critic columnist and television host. Additionally, she starred alongside Bernard Levin in an episode of Face the music and started writing books using his editing assistance.
